Effective 17 July 2026
Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Pandakoo Ltd when you use Mathique. We've kept them as plain as we can.
1. Who we are
Mathique is provided by Pandakoo Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company no. 06414404), registered office Aurora House, 71-75 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 5SL. Contact: support@mathique.app.
2. What Mathique is
Mathique is a maths practice app for children aged 7โ11 (school Years 3โ6), presented as comic-book adventures, together with a parent dashboard for tracking progress. Accounts are created and managed by parents or guardians; children use the app under their parent's account.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 to create an account.
- Keep your password safe โ you're responsible for activity on your account. Child profiles you create are for children in your care.
- Give us accurate information, and keep your email current โ it's how we reach you about your account and these terms.
4. Subscriptions, trials and payment
- Where a paid subscription is offered, prices and billing periods are shown before you buy. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and managed by them under their terms, including cancellation and refunds.
- Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled before it ends. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your store account settings.
- If we change a price, we'll tell you in advance and the change applies from your next renewal โ you're free to cancel first.
- None of this affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including your rights in relation to digital content under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
5. Fair use
- Mathique is licensed for your family's personal, non-commercial use.
- Don't share your account beyond your household, resell access, copy or scrape the content, reverse-engineer the app, or use it in a way that disrupts the service or other families.
6. Our content
Everything in Mathique โ stories, characters, artwork, exercises, software and the Mathique name โ belongs to Pandakoo Ltd or its licensors. You get a personal licence to use it while you have an account; you don't acquire any ownership.
7. Children
Children use Mathique under their parent's account and supervision. How we handle your family's data โ including that children are never asked to enter personal information โ is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Mathique available and improving, and we may add, update or replace content (stories, exercises, features) over time. Occasionally the service may be interrupted โ for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
9. Ending the agreement
- You can stop at any time: cancel any subscription in your store settings, and delete your account (and all its data) from the parent dashboard.
- We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, after telling you why unless the breach is serious.
10. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so โ including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we're responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms, and our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Mathique supports school maths practice but is not a substitute for teaching; we make no promise about school results.
11. Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we'll email the address on your account before it takes effect. If you keep using Mathique after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can end the agreement as described above.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction โ though if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings there. If you have a problem, please email us first at support@mathique.app โ we'd much rather fix it than argue about it.
