Getting set up
Everything you need to get Mathique onto your child’s tablet and their progress into your Parent HQ dashboard.
Install Mathique on a Fire Kids tablet
Amazon Kids profiles can’t browse the Appstore, so searching inside your child’s profile won’t find Mathique. Instead, you install it on the parent side of the tablet first, then share it to your child. It takes about five minutes:
- Exit the child profile. Swipe down from the very top of the screen, tap Exit, and enter your parent PIN. You will land on the adult side of the tablet.
- Find Mathique in the Appstore. In the adult profile, open the Appstore app and search for Mathique. If you can’t find it, open amazon.co.uk/dp/B0HB5LS4NT in the Silk browser and it goes straight to the app page.
- Install the app. Install Mathique in the adult profile, just like any other app.
- Share it with your child. Open the Amazon Kids app (still on the adult side) and enter your PIN. Tap your child, then Manage Content, then "Amazon content". Find Mathique under Apps & Games and tick it to add it to their library.
- Switch back to their profile. Return to your child’s profile from the lock screen. Mathique is now on their home screen.
First launch checklist
- Keep Wi-Fi on the first time your child opens the app.
- Create your parent account with an email address and password. On Fire tablets the Google sign-in option is not available, so email and password is the way in.
- Set your 4-digit parent PIN when asked; it protects the parent areas of the app from curious fingers.
- That’s it. As your child plays, their progress appears live in Parent HQ.
